85 people. one room. the whole point of the night is to meet someone new.
when you walk in, a card lands on your phone. every square describes somebody standing in that room with you: someone who speaks three languages, someone who's been on a plane this week, someone born in the same month as you. you don't know who they are, so you have to go and ask. when you find them, they confirm it and the square fills in.
that's the game. simple, and it means nobody stands in a corner with the same four friends all night. first person to complete their card is crowned king or queen of the night.
the dj plays the best hits from 2000 onwards. songs everyone already knows.
a good part of the profits from every room we open goes to a cause. this one goes to a leg to stand on because we're privileged to be alive and healthy, and we want some of that to reach people who need it.

we're not an events company. we're the people in the room who got tired of waiting.
real* is student-run, built in madrid, and made for the people actually showing up. every campus has the same night: a rented room, a sponsor banner, a playlist nobody picked, tickets sold by someone who won't be there. we kept going to those and kept leaving early, so we started making the other thing instead — smaller, sharper, put together by the people who'll be standing in it with you.
that means workshops on a tuesday and a proper night on a saturday, priced like students actually live, with the lineup, the room and the reason all decided in the open. and a fixed share of every ticket leaves our hands and goes to a cause we name out loud. community first, ego later — we'd rather build one night people talk about for a year than twelve nobody remembers by monday.
